Orientation Training is an annual training event for cross-cultural workers that last two weeks and takes place in the beautiful and serene rain forest mountains of Teresopolis/Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In this cross-cultural setting, guest speakers from the U.S., Brazil, as well as Mission Society staff members come together to teach on topics such as; Mission Team Dynamics, Marriage & Family Dynamics in Mission, Relational Evangelism, Discipleship, Spiritual Warfare, Small Group Ministry, Cross-Cultural Challenges, World Religions, and Mission and the Church. Case studies will also be shared from missionaries serving in Brazil. There will be opportunities to tour Rio de Janeiro and take in Brazilian culture. It will be a training experience of a lifetime

This is an event for the whole family. Cross-cultural training for children is provided through a curriculum titled: “Outside the Lines” by Caleb Resources. Children will also be provided exciting opportunities for interaction with Brazilian children and fun-filled excursions.

Guests are welcome to audit this training event.

Registration instructions:

In order to attend Orientation Training, Mission Society missionaries must first attend our Missionary Candidate Event and be approved as a Mission Society missionary. Guests should contact Allison Wiggins in the training department to obtain details and costs for auditing Orientation Training.
