The Mission Society provides global missionary support through missionary recruiting, missionary training and equipping church leaders and others to lead international and short-term mission trips. Based in Norcross, GA, The Mission Society was originally formed to support Methodist missionaries, but now works with a variety of Wesleyan denominations offering missionary training, missionary seminars, missionary workshops and church leadership training throughout the United States and around the world.

Mission Interns enter into a one-to-eighteen month mentoring agreement with one of our career missionaries. Interns live and work alongside missionaries in an effort to learn from them and to experience the daily life of cross-cultural work. Applicants may be any age, but must be a minimum of 19 years old. 
Intern Opportunities

Mission Explorers (ME2) are cross-cultural witnesses who commit to serve for two years on a Mission Society field. Minimum age for applying is 21. Language training and acquisition will be determined based on location, term, and previous experience.

Career Missionaries commit to serve five years as their first term. This includes four years on the field and the fifth in the States for homeland ministry and partnership-support development. The first year of a career worker’s term is focused on language acquisition. Minimum age for applying is 21.

Campus Missionaries are appointed through The Mission Society to serve on the staff of Wesley Foundations at the request of the Wesley Foundation director on the particular campus. Minimum age for applying is 21.

Global Resource Team (GRT) members are classified as missionaries based in the U.S. or other strategic locations with a three-to-four year appointment. GRT members have specialty skills and use their expertise not only in one geographic location, but globally on various fields. They are charged with directing projects on a field or collaborating with other mission agencies on certain projects.
