The Mission Society provides global missionary support through missionary recruiting, missionary training and equipping church leaders and others to lead international and short-term mission trips. Based in Norcross, GA, The Mission Society was originally formed to support Methodist missionaries, but now works with a variety of Wesleyan denominations offering missionary training, missionary seminars, missionary workshops and church leadership training throughout the United States and around the world.

J. Edward Bell, III

Ed Bell was born in Charleston, South Carolina on May 20, 1951. As college approached, he journeyed north to Spartanburg, South Carolina in order to attend Wofford College. Quickly graduating in 1975 with a B.A. in government and a minor in the foreign languages of Chinese and French, he turned his sights to law school. He attended Law School at University of South Carolina School of Law in Columbia, South Carolina. During law school, Ed applied his undergraduate degree while working with Senator Strom Thurmond; serving as his personal aid for four years. In 1978, Ed Bell graduated and accepted an associate position with the Weinberg Law Firm in Sumter, South Carolina. In 1983, the Bell Law Firm was established in Sumter, South Carolina and expanded the firm to Georgetown, South Carolina in 1996.

Ed has been active in church and lay witness ministry since high school. He and his family are members of Duncan United Methodist Church in Georgetown, South Carolina.
