The Mission Society provides global missionary support through missionary recruiting, missionary training and equipping church leaders and others to lead international and short-term mission trips. Based in Norcross, GA, The Mission Society was originally formed to support Methodist missionaries, but now works with a variety of Wesleyan denominations offering missionary training, missionary seminars, missionary workshops and church leadership training throughout the United States and around the world.

Richard Coleman

Director of Mobilization and Candidacy
Richard received both his Bachelor of Arts degree in New Testament and Master of Divinity from Oral Roberts University in Oklahoma. He then returned to the Atlanta area to work on the staff of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Lithonia. For three years he served there as the Director of Missions. Prior to his coming to The Mission Society staff, Richard was involved with The Mission Society as a Global Outreach instructor and a Mobilization Department representative as needed. He came on staff full-time in December 2006 as the Manager of Recruitment, serving as the coordinator of the Mobilization Department’s efforts in finding, connecting with, and building relationships with prospective candidates for service with The Mission Society. He currently serves as the Director of Mobilization and Candidacy.
