David and Carol completed their four-year ministry assignment to Venezuela in August, 2010. While in Barquisimeto, Venezuela, David served as Academic Dean and professor at the Wesleyan Seminary of Venezuela, while Carol served as hostess for the seminary and mentor for female seminary students and church members. Though no longer based in Venezuela, David will continue to teach in the seminary there twice a year.

The Cosbys are currently raising funds to begin their next ministry assignment as field leader of the One Mission Society team in Mexico. They will live in Mexico City and oversee ministries that include the Biblical Seminary of Mexico, headquartered in Mexico City with two satellite campuses that provide training to lay leaders and future pastors; a drop-in center for street children, which shows the love of Jesus by providing food, baths, instruction on a marketable craft, and Bible study; 12 established churches and over 50 house churches; multiple evangelism teams; an extensive English language program that uses instruction in English as a tool to introduce people to Jesus; and Marriage Encounter retreats and small groups for couples, which provide tools to strengthen and rescue marriages. David will also teach in the seminary and mentor pastors. Carol will be the treasurer and disciple women.

The Cosbys have been in missionary service full-time since 1975, serving in Colombia, Hungary, Mexico (on a previous assignment), and Venezuela. They have two adult children, a daughter, Sharyn, and a son, Blair.
