The Mission Society provides global missionary support through missionary recruiting, missionary training and equipping church leaders and others to lead international and short-term mission trips. Based in Norcross, GA, The Mission Society was originally formed to support Methodist missionaries, but now works with a variety of Wesleyan denominations offering missionary training, missionary seminars, missionary workshops and church leadership training throughout the United States and around the world.

Dick McClain

Vice President - Ministry Operations and Church Ministry
Dick leads the Ministry Operations and Church Ministry division whose aim is to establish indigenous, self-replicating discipling communities around the world. Because accomplishing this will take the whole Body of Christ working together in unity, the division’s objectives include not only sending out cross-cultural workers but also mobilizing and empowering local churches around the world for mission. The Field Ministries Department now oversees more than 200 cross-cultural workers assigned to 30+ countries. These missionaries work side-by-side with over 3,500 national pastors and leaders. The department also facilitates the work of the Global Resource Team, a growing network of highly skilled people who use their expertise to support the work of missions and missionaries. The Church Ministry department provides a variety of training and mentoring services for local churches (built on the foundation of the “Global Outreach Seminar”), as well as facilitating partnerships between congregations and missionaries.
