The Mission Society provides global missionary support through missionary recruiting, missionary training and equipping church leaders and others to lead international and short-term mission trips. Based in Norcross, GA, The Mission Society was originally formed to support Methodist missionaries, but now works with a variety of Wesleyan denominations offering missionary training, missionary seminars, missionary workshops and church leadership training throughout the United States and around the world.

Year opened: 2006

The more than six million inhabitants of Israel have endured a tumultuous history as wars and ethnic division have affected their daily lives for decades. Although Israel is one of the most technologically literate cultures, more than one-fifth of the population lives below the poverty line.

Israel is a new field for The Mission Society, begun in 2006 through the partnership of a native Israeli. This Mission Society missionary founded Olive Branch, a ministry focused on training emerging young leaders by improving their skills in leadership, preaching and strategic planning for church growth. Olive Branch also seeks to empower women for ministry. In addition to other responsibilities, including teaching and church planting, this missionary works through the Olive Branch ministry to minister to Palestinian Christians, Jews, and Palestinian Muslims.

 

Prayer Requests

  • Pray for the unity of the Palestinian churches and for the unity of the Messianic churches.
  • Pray for the Christians in the Holy Land to be granted patience and wisdom in the face of the persecution that comes from oppositions in all forms.
  • Pray for the increase of cooperation in ministry and work among all churches, Messianic and Palestinian.
  • Pray for the leaders of Israel so that God might direct them to make good decisions for the welfare of its all citizens and for the achievement of true peace and justice.
  • Pray for the Church to be true to its identity by seeking to save souls and by being a true bridge for peace and love among all fighting peoples.
  • Pray for the Church leaders to continue preaching holiness and true hope in Jesus alone, so that Christians would experience healthy growth and maturity.
