The Mission Society’s work in Thailand officially began in 2008. Through a contact with one of our staff members, a partnership grew with Thai Christians in the Isaan region in the northeastern part of the country. Of the more than 67 million residents of Thailand, 94.6% are Buddhist, 4.6% are Muslim, and .7% are Christian.
Mission Society missionaries reside in Roi Et, the poorest province of the Isaan region in Thailand. They teach English as a Second Language classes, teach in several of the village schools, as well as work with children’s and youth ministries.
