The Mission Society provides global missionary support through missionary recruiting, missionary training and equipping church leaders and others to lead international and short-term mission trips. Based in Norcross, GA, The Mission Society was originally formed to support Methodist missionaries, but now works with a variety of Wesleyan denominations offering missionary training, missionary seminars, missionary workshops and church leadership training throughout the United States and around the world.

Year opened: 2010

The Mission Society opened a field in the United Kingdom in 2010. Former missionaries to Ghana relocated to the United Kingdom in order to pursue PhD work at the University of Oxford. This missionary is pursing research in West African mission sending paradigms and structures in order to resource the church in Africa with ideas beyond awareness of God’s call to mission. While in Ghana this couple mobilized the Ghanaian church for mission. Another Mission Society missionary is working with local churches in the United Kingdom, equipping and encouraging them in their call to mission.
