 Church Leadership OutreachYear Began: 2010The Church of the Living Vine was planted by Mission Society missionaries in Kazakhstan in 1994. It has been fully under local leadership since 2008. The church has a vision to develop young leaders in the church by providing minimal support for them to spend a year of focus in ministry learning and practice. These young people will be involved in reaching out with the gospel to young people in their community, discipling them, and helping them find their own places in the church. The developing leaders will also form a community together so they can learn from one another as they experience ministry. Older believers in the church will help these leaders process their experience and grow in their own maturity in the faith. It requires about $300/month to enable one person to be able to devote his or her time to this experience in ministry. It is for a finite time as the goal is for them to become effective ministers who are able to continue in ministry once they have found other jobs in the local economy.
