Powered By Educators

Here at the Mission Society, educators make our work possible. Because of their dedicated efforts over the last year and beyond, we have offered students spaces where they can be inspired, learn without obstacles, and build the futures of their dreams.

Educators are the heart of our programs.

Our staff dedicates each day to the academic enrichment, well-being, and success of young people across New York City. In the 2021-2022 school year, over 100 Mission Society educators mentored and supported 2,000 scholars across our K-12 programs.

Educators are cultivators of joy.

The Mission Society programs encourage play, build confidence, and open doors to new possibilities for every student, demonstrating to each of our scholars that their ambitions are within reach.

Educators are advocates.

We provide holistic support when our students face challenges in and beyond school or lack access to vital learning resources. Our team alleviates barriers to opportunities students may not have access to outside of our classrooms, helping students thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.

Educators are dedicated learners.

Our teachers take in daily lessons from students on compassion, understanding, and connection, and reflect them in their classrooms. Staff prioritizes continued learning, deepening their knowledge of the needs of students and using these lessons to create strong, welcoming communities.

Thank you to our entire team of Mission Society educators.
We are so grateful to you for seeing and supporting our students, and bringing empowering educational opportunities to our schools.
