Since 1812

For over two hundred years, the Mission Society of New York City has worked to end multigenerational poverty by building the lifelong educational capacity of New York’s most vulnerable youth and families. Each year, we provide over 5,400 young people and parents with a progressive suite of academic enrichment, college prep, and career readiness programs at our flagship building on Malcolm X Boulevard and 12 public school programs in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and the Bronx.

A Wonderful Winter Celebration

Updated: Mar 19

On December 16, the Mission Society of New York City was thrilled to welcome over 70 people to our annual Winter Celebration. We hosted a handful of festive activities, interactive games, holiday-themed crafts, and offered one-of-a-kind holiday portraits. The evening was a joyful end to our year of programs and events, and a wonderful way to celebrate the season with the Mission family.

This time of year, we like to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of the young people and parents that participate in our ongoing programs. Our Winter Celebration is one of the ways we hope to offer our recognition and thanks, and give families an opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments.

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate the holiday season with Mission! To see more fun photos of the event, you can visit us on Facebook.
