Jean Shafiroff Hosts Holiday Cocktail Reception in Support of the New York Mission Society

Jean Shafiroff, philanthropist, author, and humanitarian, hosted an elegant holiday cocktail reception in her Upper East Side apartment to benefit the New York Mission Society. The festive gathering brought together a diverse array of guests united by their commitment to philanthropy.

 

The New York Mission Society, a venerable nonprofit founded in 1812, continues to provide life-changing programs for underserved youth and families in New York City. Shafiroff, a long-time supporter of the organization, welcomed guests to her beautifully adorned home, which was elegantly decorated for the holiday season with twinkling lights, and floral arrangements.

 

The event included a speech by Shafiroff, who emphasized the importance of the New York Mission Society’s work in education, job training, and mentorship programs. She urged attendees to join her in supporting the organization’s vital mission.

 

Guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres, holiday cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and live piano music. The setting provided a backdrop for conversations and inspiration to make a difference during the holiday season.

 

“The holiday season is a time to reflect on our blessings and give back to those in need,” said Shafiroff. “The New York Mission Society is an organization I hold close to my heart, and I am thrilled to see so many supporters come together to amplify its mission.”

 

The evening successfully raised awareness and funds for the New York Mission Society, furthering its capacity to empower New York City’s most vulnerable communities.

About Jean Shafiroff:

Jean Shafiroff is a philanthropist, humanitarian, TV host, writer, and the author of the book "Successful Philanthropy: How to Make a Life By What You Give". Jean works extensively as a volunteer fundraiser and leader in the philanthropic world. She serves on the boards of 8 charitable organizations and each year chairs upwards of eight to ten different charity galas.  She also  hosts and underwrites many large parties in her homes for different non-profits.   Among the many causes she champions are those involved in women’s rights, rights of underserved populations, health care, and animal welfare. Jean Shafiroff serves on the boards of the  French Heritage Society, Southampton Hospital Foundation,  NYC Mission Society,  Couture Council of the Museum at FIT,  New York Women's Foundation, Casita Maria, Global Strays, and Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation Honorary Board.  In addition, she is a member of the Advisory Board of the Historical Society of Palm Beach County. A Catholic,  Jean  served on the board of the Jewish Board for 28 years and now is one of their honorary trustees. Jean Shafiroff has been honored numerous times by a variety of charitable organizations for her work. Jean Shafiroff is among the leading ladies of philanthropy.
